In the past few years, electronic pressure regulators have come into play. They provide more pressure. More flexibility and exceptional durability compared to previous technologies. At Fluid Controls, we offer a wide range of electronic pressure control regulators from brands like Proportion Air, Parker Lucifer, and Equilibar. This article will summarize everything you need to know about pneumatic pressure regulator electronics. The pressure regulators are essential in maintaining the perfect pressure during the course of the chemical reaction.
Applications of Electronic Pressure Regulators
There are various applications for electronic pressure regulators because the primary purpose is to provide closed-loop pressure regulation and can be relevant to many industries and applications. There are multiple applications of pressure regulators as these are efficient devices to control the temperature, pressure, and the molar concentration of the substance in the chemical reactions.
Some typical applications include:
The inert gaseous do require a specific temperature and a compressed environment, we have multiple applications of the pressure regulators in the medical industry and maintaining the pressure of the oxygen chamber in the operation theaters. These valves are utilized in the packaging and also to test the leakage in the long piping of industrial processes. There are the following applications of pressure regulators in the industry.
- Direct control of pressurized compressed air and inert gasses
- small cylinder operation
- Medical Applications/Analysis
- leak test
- packaging
How Does The Electronic Pressure Regulator Work?
The electronic pressure control is a vast improvement over the mechanical regulator. It’s pretty simple and very effective in helping you get better control. They use a fill and vent valve to maintain the outlet pressure at the required set point. A small internal pressure sensor monitors the output voltage. And the digital controller internally adjusts the valve output current to maintain the desired setpoint (e.g., closed-loop control). The electronic pressure regulator maintains this pressure. However, the flow rate through the system has changed. Internal pressure transducers provide instant feedback to adjust the flow from fill valves or relief valves. To keep the output voltage constant.
When the control signal increases, the internal proportional valve will work. The increased pressure goes to the inner pilot chamber. When this happens, Inlet pressure flows proportionally through the fill valve and into the cabin. The cabin’s tension increases and the diaphragm’s upper surface is activated. As a result, the air supply valve connected to the diaphragm opens. And part of the supply voltage becomes the output voltage. This output voltage is fed back to the control circuit using a pressure sensor. The fill valve will adjust slightly until the outlet pressure equals the desired control signal setpoint.
