Author Christopher Laird is a rising new author in the world of science fiction. Christopher Laird has published 4 novels that were based on his bestselling ORIGINS series.He is here today to discuss his newest novel ORIGINS 3 The Children Of Mykia which was available on the 27th of October, 2020.
1.Hello Monsieur. Laird, thank you for the time you spent today. Let us know about your background.
My birthplace was within Detroit, MI. I have two brothers as well as two sisters. In addition I think three things make me unique. They are love for God and art, fishing and writing. They know me at the root. Without them I’d be lost.
2. How did you first get involved in writing?
When I was a kid I started making home films using my camcorder. I would gather my children and friends in the neighborhood to make home films. I would write these scripts and draw images of how I wanted the actors to act in their scenes. As I grew older, I started to write my thoughts in notebooks. I’ve always been creative. There’s so much freedom and satisfaction in making the content you want to create.
3. Let us know about your amazing successes with the Origins series of books.
The novel series centers around particles that possess the power of God. Anyone who is able to harness this power, is a ability of God. The main characters in the show, Xona as well as Captain Stratford, have harnessed the power. However, this power is not unlimited and they are able to achieve a limited amount.

In addition, they become weak when they use excessively. Through the book, Xona and Stratford battle against each other for their control over the world. It’s just an uncontrollable, wild and exuberant adventure that takes you on an adventure unlike any other novel that has taken readers on. The rich characters and the unique alien worlds will transport you to the new frontier that is science fiction.
4. ORIGINS 3 THE Children Of Mykia is your latest novel, what’s it about?
In the third volume, Xona is a defeated dictator who lives in the Cordayia slums Cordayia along with their daughter. She is sought-after by numerous galaxies across the universe, and has only escaped to protect her daughter. Xona is trying to become more of a person and to change her habits. Her daughter is also blessed with the same abilities as she does. However, unlike her mother, Zeniyah is fully empowered and is being kidnapped by forces of evil for the ability she is gifted with. Xona is reluctantly reunited with Captain Stratford to bring her child back. It’s not an easy task because Xona is faced with a lot of obstacles when she tries to find her daughter. This is a tale of violent space fights families and some comedy.
5. What advice do you have for writers who are aspiring?
Each writer has a wonderful story. Do not be discouraged in letting everyone know that the story you tell is wonderful and you’d like to share your story. It’s just an issue of telling your story the right people.
